Yes, the 2nd Thief logo has significant meaning in both its design and name.

Standing alone and without any context, the name comprising the words "2nd Thief" does not immediately evoke a "Christian" image. This is intentional because it usually forces the reader or listener to ask what does "2nd Thief" mean? Whether it is on a shirt or on literature that we give to people, it naturally causes people to ask us, "What is 2nd Thief?" The question itself provides an opening for us to share the simplicity of the salvation message of Christ.

The "2nd" of 2nd Thief not only describes the thief on the cross, we specifically use the number version because it looks like "unit designation" used in the military such as 81st Airborne. In fact, 2nd Thief's organizational structure is based on a Special Operations (“Spec Ops”) Team whose function is to rescue hostages that are in bondage to sin.

The "T" in Thief represents the Cross of Christ. The "T" is the largest of the letters in 2nd Thief and rightfully so since our message is the Cross of Christ! If you look carefully at the T, you will notice that there is a "cut" on the T. That "cut" represents where Jesus' heart was pierced in the side by the Centurion's spear and out flowed blood and water. John 19:34.

You also will notice that on the cross beam of the "T," you will see two "spikes" at the end of the beam. These spikes represent the nails that hammered his hands onto the cross.

When you look at the base of the "T," you will see two spikes, which represents the nails that hammered his feet onto the cross.

Finally, the color blue represents "Heaven" and peace (or Paradise).
