Several people related to us during the week how much they were blessed by Tony Gooden’s “Journey of Adoption,” that recounted his family’s adoption of their little girl Grace. We here at 2nd Thief were privileged to be able to provide Tony and JoAnna with a forum to share the joy of this event with others. We will be chronicling the Gooden’s upcoming adoption here on the “Preacher Byline” so be sure to check in with us as this new “adventure” unfolds.

It is instantly recognizable that people everywhere are looking for more from their lives. We are all seeking a pure love and peace that the world can’t possibly offer. Everlasting love, joy, peace and freedom in abundance are only found in an authentic relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Our daily contact with various people who visit here at the Ministry bears witness to this reality.

People are continually looking for more from their lives. Our daily contact with the various people who visit here at 2nd Thief Ministries confirms that truth. We are all seeking a pure love and peace that the world can’t possibly offer. Everlasting love, joy, peace and freedom in abundance are only found in an authentic relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Therefore our mission persists here at 2nd Thief Ministries to boldly “speak the truth in love” about our Lord and Savior.

Over the weekend the “Defender Outreach” event took place. As reported earlier this was our motorcoach trip to see the “Psalms of David” that was showing at the “Living Waters Theatre” in Strasburg, PA. Scenic America, Inc provided us with a new and well appointed motorcoach. Bob, the driver of the bus, was the epitome of gracious dedication to the task at hand and quickly became one of “the crew.” He was affectionately named “Road Captain.” What a great time of refreshing in the Lord! This, by the way, was not only my experience; it was shared by all who participated.

The 2nd Thief Riders “Mountaintop Baggin’ Ride” is ready to roll. The itineraries for all six days are complete. This year is special as a second group of Riders will be joining us halfway through the ride in Galax, VA. That is the night we will be eating at “The Galax Smokehouse” which will be a treat for those of us that enjoy country cooking. Later, just across the street, we will be listening to Bluegrass Music at the acclaimed “Rex’s Theater.” Two different bands will be playing that night and from what little I heard on there respective websites it should be great.

The 2nd Thief Riders “Mountaintop Baggin’ Ride” was anointed, all six days of it. That didn’t mean everything went as planned. There was a bike that broke down. God showed Himself mighty as this occurred on the only day we had extra time and happened close to a dealership (right on the stretch of road our hotel was on)!
